Queen of the Paws Registration & Policies
1. Pricing and Value
Our rates are non-negotiable, based on the value of the service we provide, our years of experience, my dedicated team, quality time spent grooming and caring for your pet.
2. Deposit and Cancellation Policy
There is a $27.50 non-refundable deposit that will be applied to your grooming fee upon completion of your grooming. Cancellation Policy: There is a $37.50 cancellation fee if you do not cancel at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Prior to your next appointment and any future appointments your deposit will then be $52.50. You will get a $37.50 charge for no call/no show.
3. Pickup Policy
You have a 45-minute window to collect your pet after notification. If pickup runs past that window, a $25 daycare fee applies.
4. Emergencies
In case of an emergency, I authorize Queen of the Paws to immediately seek professional veterinary care for my pet. I understand that Queen of the Paws will make every effort to contact me in case of an emergency. I understand that I am responsible for the charges that may occur!
5. Double Coated Pet Owners
To all Triple or Double Coated pet owners that wish to have your pet shaved, after you are informed by the groomers about what can happen due to the shaving of your pet and you still choose to have your pet shaved, we will not be held responsible for a decision you choose to make. If you require de-shedding, an additional $27.50 fee will be added to the total for the service. Additional services like coloring are considered add-ons and represent an additional charge.
6. Grooming Time and Behavior
Your pet's behavior is a key factor. At Queen of the Paws, we will take the time to work with your babies to make it a comfortable experience for them, allowing them to set the pace. So, I do not have an exact time for the grooming to be completed!
7. Coat Condition
If your pet's fur is heavily matted there is a greater risk of burns or cuts that can occur. All attempts will be made to prevent this, but understand that matted pets take longer to prepare, and an additional fee will be added based on assessment. For long hair Guinea Pigs, we will not shave them down; you will have to take them to the veterinarians.
8. Health and Vaccinations
I will inform the Groomer if my pet has any heart condition or stress-related problems. It is necessary to keep my pet up to date with all vaccinations before each grooming. Dogs: Parvovirus, Distemper, DHPP, Rabies. Cats: FVRCP, FeLV, Rabies.
9. Female Pets in Heat
If you bring your pet in and they are in heat or bleeding it is a $27.50 charge due to sanitation and safety of pets.
10. Fleas & Ticks
If your pet has fleas or ticks on them at the time of grooming, we will do a flea and tick bath which is $27.50 added to your grooming fee.
11. Aggressive Pets
If your pet is hard to handle or aggressive your fee will increase. If a pet must leave the facility because of aggressiveness, we will still collect payment along with a $42.50 fee. If a staff member is bitten, there is a $67.50 charge!
12. Liability Release
The groomer is not held liable for accidents, such as nicks from clippers or existing health conditions revealed by grooming. Queen of the Paws is not responsible for veterinarian costs due to clipper burns, minor nicks, or skin irritations. Queen of the Paws is not liable for any stressful effects grooming may have on a geriatric pet (9 years and older).
13. Photography
Occasionally we do post our pet’s photos to our website, or our social media page. We seek your permission to post these photos.
